The Pursuit For Purpose In Life Is Found Only In God

(Midweek Devotion - 1 Timothy, 31 May 2023) 1 Timothy 1:5-7 5  For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,  6  who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time.  7  And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles. One of the major concerns of all people, Christians or not, is to find the answer to the question "What is the meaning of my life?" The seeking for an answer to this lifelong question leads us ultimately to find out the purpose of our existence. There were many brilliant philosophers of the ancients and of this conteporary age who have helped us by their wonderful discoveries which suggested how to know the meaning of life. But with the Christian Theologians and Philisophers, historiically, they have already found the answer to this question in the very basic foundation of their phi

Pray For What God Wants

(Midweek Devotion - 1 Timothy, 17 May 2023) 1 Timothy 2:1-4      1  First of all, then, I urge that requests, prayers, intercessions, and thanks be offered on behalf of all people, 2  even for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3  Such prayer for all is good and welcomed before God our Savior, 4  since he wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. We have heard many exhortations about prayers like what is our guide in prayer, how can we make our prayers effective, how often we should pray, benefits of praying, and even principles of prayers. Praying is each and every Christian’s tool to communicate with God. This is the ordained means to respond in God’s Divine call and revelation to us through the Biblical knowledge we received and perceived. To continue to walk in faith, we need to exten

Avoid To Shipwreck Our Faith

(Midweek Devotion - 1 Timothy, 10 May 2023) 1 Timothy 1: 1 8-20      18  This charge I entrust to you, Timothy, my child, in accordance with the prophecies previously made about you, that by them you may wage the good warfare, 19  holding faith and a good conscience. By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith, 20  among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. Everyone who found faith in Jesus Christ afresh and committed their lives to serve God and abide in Him and in His precepts, decrees, and commands; is not exempted to temptations to sins, much more to former sins that we are used to before we have known God. How can we stand to our faith through the end if sins are flagging and appearing, here and there, every time we want to walk straight in the path of righteousness led by the God, the Holy Spirit? Our worries may come and starting to ask ourselves, what if I fall into sin again? Do I have to ask Go
