Pray In Spirit

Ephesians 6:18 - “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Glory be to God in the Highest! It’s the start of a long weekend for our fellow brethren here in Australia as 27th is a holiday to give way for the celebration of Australia Day! Looking at this beautiful moment in the History of the discovery of this great land by the Westerners and became a country that we now knew as Australia. I remember the time when I was reviewing the History of this land as part of our preparation for the Australian Citizenship Examination, the first Australian migrants were rooted from Judeo-Christian faith. This mission works grew and later have been embraced as the primary faith movement in this land. As we are also partakers of the great thing this land has to offer, it won’t be an abuse to include this land in our prayers as well. There are many things that has ...

God’s Verified Our Cries

Genesis 18: 20-21 20  Then the LORD said, "Because the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is great and their sin is very grave, 21  I will go down to see whether they have done altogether according to the outcry that has come to me. And if not, I will know." There were instance when my little girl is approaching before me and crying out loud and telling all her complain about her brother. Suddenly, the brother will come and explain his sides defending himself from possible punishment if proven guilty. This is a typical scenario for families with young children. As a parent and/or as a father, we are have to use discernment, wisdom and justice in dealing with this similar situation. This is not far from our just God when he also received the outcries of people who are sending and lifting up their prayers to Him. This has been proven true by the God of the Bible before He finally cast the judgement to Sodom and Gomorrah (refer to Genesis 18) Genesis 18:20-21 ...

Unbreakable

Luke 6:47-48 47  Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: 48  he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. In recent events from different parts of the world, there are varieties of natural disasters happening in this world. In Philippines, we know that earthquakes becoming a norms in Mindanao region and 20-30 different levels of Typhoons crossing it annually. While here in Australia, there are droughts across many farmlands while bush fires are increasing and aggravating resulting to destruction of many houses and lives. If we are a homeowners, we tend to keep our homes as safe and protected as we can from any of destruction brought by these calamities both physically and spiritually. Attending to the needs of our respective homes, keeping it a better place fo...

Spiritual Rebuke

Mark 1:21-26 21  And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. 22  And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. 23  And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24  "What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God." 25  But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!" 26  And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him. As we are approaching the last 5 weeks of this year, we are also entering the final leg of the Year of Transformation which is concluding to our Revival. Reviving ourselves is our utmost desire with the help of Christ, which is then leading to divine transformation in the body of Christ. But before we jump into this experience of reviv...

The Unity and Humility In Pursuit of Identity in Christ

Philippians 2:1-5 1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, 4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others. 5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Thanks be to God, it's Friday again! I pray and hope that everyone truly bear the identity of Christ in our lives as we all imitate Him in all aspects of our lives. Some have just encountered some problems in their works, finances, relationships, studies, etc; and yet, our neighbors have noticed the joy is radiating from us and remain positive despite of the mood of these situation. I firmly believe, because we kee...

Be Different Than A Devil’s Faith

James 2:14-26      14  What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15  If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16  and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? 17  So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.      18  But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19  You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20  Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21  Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22  You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed ...

Commitment in Our Calling

Ephesians 4:11-13 11  And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12  to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13  until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ For those who have already touched on the topic of Identifying Spiritual Entropies from Session 3 of your respective CG topic, it is good to refresh ourselves with our commitment to serve God and be ready to accept tasks and responsibilities as how God sees our usefulness and contributions and not with how we viewed or assessed ourselves. When God called us to do something for Him, He definitely provide for our needs. He distributed different kinds of Spiritual Gifts that we may use them individually to the corporate work He assigned to us within His Body. Everyone will be equipped well by God For the work ...

The Gifts and Calling of God Are Irrevocable

1 Corinthians 12:4-11 4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit; 5 and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord; 6 and there are varieties of activities, but it is the same God who empowers them all in everyone. 7 To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. 8 For to one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills. There are varieties of spiritual gift, services and activities that were given and distributed to empower each and eve...
