Walk as Wise and not Unwise

Ephesians 5:15-21 15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ. If we are in Melbourne, tonight is going to be the start of a long weekend, moreover, term 3 school holiday is in the middle of its first week. With the festival spirit for the Footy Final this Saturday, most of footy fans are really eyeing for the two grand final teams to win. As the festival spirit keeps burning, I would like to commend everyone in the FBGC Point Cook for all your contribut

Break Our Indifferences

It is too common for us to be easily annoyed when things that surround us are not what we expect to see, hear, experience, and the like. When our family and loved ones are getting into addictions, when our work colleagues adds cause you more pressure and stress, when your community are not improving rather getting worse, and many more. We wish that it is better if they are not around or exist. Paul in his encouragement to us in    1 Thessalonians 5:12-15 not to look at the weaknesses of the people around us.He says "12 Now we ask you, brothers and sisters, to acknowledge those who labor among you and preside over you in the Lord and admonish you,13 and to esteem them most highly in love because of their work. Be at peace among yourselves. 14 And we urge you, brothers and sisters, admonish the undisciplined, comfort the discouraged, help the weak, be patient toward all. 15 See that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good for one another and fo

Follow Jesus And No Turning Back

Luke 9:57-62 57  As they were going along the road, someone said to him, "I will follow you wherever you go."  58  And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head."  59  To another he said, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father."  60  And Jesus said to him, "Leave the dead to bury their own dead. But as for you, go and proclaim the kingdom of God."  61  Yet another said, "I will follow you, Lord, but let me first say farewell to those at my home."  62  Jesus said to him, "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God." I firmly believed that the moment we made the decision to repent our sins before God and accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour, we have also made a promise to follow him. Do we still remember what we have promised to Jesus? Did we whol

Commitment in Our Calling

Ephesians 4:11-13 11  And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, 12  to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13  until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ For those who have already touched on the topic of Identifying Spiritual Entropies from Session 3 of your respective CG topic, it is good to refresh ourselves with our commitment to serve God and be ready to accept tasks and responsibilities as how God sees our usefulness and contributions and not with how we viewed or assessed ourselves. When God called us to do something for Him, He definitely provide for our needs. He distributed different kinds of Spiritual Gifts that we may use them individually to the corporate work He assigned to us within His Body. Everyone will be equipped well by God For the work in His ministr
