Live As You Are Called by God

1 Cor 7:17:24  17 Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches. 18 Was anyone at the time of his call already circumcised? Let him not seek to remove the marks of circumcision. Was anyone at the time of his call uncircumcised? Let him not seek circumcision. 19 For neither circumcision counts for anything nor uncircumcision, but keeping the commandments of God. 20 Each one should remain in the condition in which he was called. 21 Were you a bondservant when called? Do not be concerned about it. (But if you can gain your freedom, avail yourself of the opportunity.) 22 For he who was called in the Lord as a bondservant is a freedman of the Lord. Likewise he who was free when called is a bondservant of Christ. 23 You were bought with a price; do not become bondservants of men. 24 So, brothers, in whatever condition each was called, there let him remain with God.      ...

What To Do When Facing Conflict With Our Fellow Brethren?

I would like to share these teachings in the Bible which are very relevant for all of us as who are facing difficulties, conflicts and issues within our fellow believer of Christ. Handling conflict is so stressful and so exhausting, a right attitude is so important to deal it with success. We may not win the battle the way we want it, but we will win the favour of God and of men. Here are few suggestions we can do to help us a victorious over any conflict.  1. Seek and Keep the Peace of God - is the first thing we need to do and to have when conflict arises as it surpasses all the understanding and will definitely guard your heart. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) 2. Show the Biblical approach in dealing a conflict - Take this as an opportunity for you to show your spiritual maturity as follower of Jesus Christ called to represent Christ to our fellow brethren and stand a...

Wake Up - Stand On Your Post!

2 Samuel 19:5-7: 5 So Joab visited the king at his home. He said, "Today you have embarrassed all your servants who have saved your life this day, as well as the lives of your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your concubines. 6 You seem to love your enemies and hate your friends! For you have as much as declared today that leaders and servants don't matter to you. I realize now that if Absalom were alive and all of us were dead today, it would be all right with you. 7 So get up now and go out and give some encouragement to your servants. For I swear by the Lord that if you don't go out there, not a single man will stay here with you tonight! This disaster will be worse for you than any disaster that has overtaken you from your youth right to the present time!" The 3 chapters (17-19) of the book of 2nd Samuel narrated the story of the how the young Absalom, one of the Sons of King David dreamt to take over his Dad's kingship in Israel. Thanks to the loya...

Let Your Name Stand In The Book Of Life

Christians are the apple of the eye of the devil when it comes to his rebellious plan against God. He loves us to be trapped into temptations and cast doubts, fears and many curiosities to turn our hearts, minds and ways against The Almighty. Jesus knew very well that we will encounter these sooner or later once God calls us and has chosen us to do the work in His ministries. God's plan to His missionaries is to succeed in every places where they go, however, if the plan goes wrong, He always has the backout plan (1 Cor 10:13). He destined us a victorious Christian Living not merely in physical aspects only but in spiritual aspects specifically. God who is always faithful, loves his flocks and would want us to meet Him always even at least in the time of our service to Him.  To encourage us, he gave us the authority which he bears too, that is to defeat the enemy and his works. ( Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all t...

Remembering God's Word (Hope for Comfort and Revival)

There is one instance when I was walking towards Swanston Street just across the Flinders Street Station, I saw a homeless young girl about 23 years of age and wrapped with comforter in the middle of the winter season early morning. I have been noticing her for quite some time as she appeared on and off in that place. One morning I noticed her she was asleep which seems unusual as she was awake most of the time when I get there. I was wondering how she was as she was lying there and sleeping in the cold winter morning.  I just passed by and continue walking wondering about that lady. Then I've seen the nearby McDonalds fastfood store and I decided to drop by, bought a take away breakfast meal and a hot coffee, and walk away. But I have no intention to consume what I have just bought as for whatever reason, a voice telling me to bring it to the lady I've seen lying on that floor. I turned around and walk back to the lady, kneel down to wake her up. I tap her softly and say ...

Watch Out for the Seeking Faith

Luke 5:18-20 18 And behold, some men were bringing on a bed a man who was paralyzed, and they were seeking to bring him in and lay him before Jesus, 19 but finding no way to bring him in, because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down with his bed through the tiles into the midst before Jesus. 20 And when he saw their faith, he said, “Man, your sins are forgiven you.”  Too often, churches nowadays are becoming exclusive and isolated to the real world as they create and build themselves with their services and ministries. We want to make sure we are always the first to glance the beauty of our God where we want to surround the church in every place we can fit in and leaving no space for others to even squeeze themselves just to have a look of Jesus. We think mostly that we are the first to be called and so we must always the first to lead. We all loved to be in the front row, especially if an opportunity to witness an awesome Broadway play, to lead a project in our ...

Warning to the believers

Luke 13:6-9 6 Then Jesus told this parable: "A man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came looking for fruit on it and found none. 7 So he said to the worker who tended the vineyard, 'For three years now, I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and each time I inspect it I find none. Cut it down! Why should it continue to deplete the soil?' 8 But the worker answered him, 'Sir, leave it alone this year too, until I dig around it and put fertilizer on it.9 Then if it bears fruit next year, very well, but if not, you can cut it down.'" Jesus parable in Luke 13:6-9 is indeed a warning to all of us who claims to be Christians. We are being nurtured by God's mercy and grace as He shared us His salvation. We are fed in His soil as we continue to live together in His tree, His church. God gave us time to grow and I always believe that He has given us many opportunities as well for us to learn, develop, and accomplish victory with God's favo...
