Spiritual Rebuke

Mark 1:21-26 21  And they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath he entered the synagogue and was teaching. 22  And they were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as one who had authority, and not as the scribes. 23  And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24  "What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God." 25  But Jesus rebuked him, saying, "Be silent, and come out of him!" 26  And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him. As we are approaching the last 5 weeks of this year, we are also entering the final leg of the Year of Transformation which is concluding to our Revival. Reviving ourselves is our utmost desire with the help of Christ, which is then leading to divine transformation in the body of Christ. But before we jump into this experience of reviv...

Strictly Follow God

1 Samuel 13:8-14 8  He waited seven days, the time appointed by Samuel. But Samuel did not come to Gilgal, and the people were scattering from him. 9  So Saul said, "Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings." And he offered the burnt offering. 10  As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came. And Saul went out to meet him and greet him. 11  Samuel said, "What have you done?" And Saul said, "When I saw that the people were scattering from me, and that you did not come within the days appointed, and that the Philistines had mustered at Michmash, 12  I said, 'Now the Philistines will come down against me at Gilgal, and I have not sought the favor of the LORD.' So I forced myself, and offered the burnt offering." 13  And Samuel said to Saul, "You have done foolishly. You have not kept the command of the LORD your God, with which he commanded you. For then the LORD would have established your ki...

Jesus Ministry Preaches

And he said to them, "Let us go on to the next towns, that I may preach there also, for that is why I came out." -Mark 1:38 As we revisited the model of our ministry in this body of Christ in FBGC Point Cook, let us all examine how Jesus implemented or acted in accordance to the five-fold ministry offices He first and foremost established and are now actively applied to the new testament churches through the outpouring of Spiritual Gifts (Ephesians 4:11-13). Moreover, anyone who who have been found by Him (FIND - a Discipleship Strategy of Jesus) duplicates Him in righteousness and deeds. We, who are disciples of Christ, charged to do the same model which is to make disciple starting from (F) Finding People in Common ground; (I) Instruct them with His ways; (N) Nurture them with His Words and (D) Duplicate Jesus in our own lives - His thoughts, His words, and His actions.  FIND-ing lost souls is a missionary task in becoming a disciple, being a disciple, and maki...

Commune With God!

Mark 1:35 - And rising very early in the morning, while it was still dark, he departed and went out to a desolate place, and there he prayed. From the last couple of weeks, we are choosing to remodel the ministry that the Lord has given us by revisiting the works of Jesus Christ as He begins His ministry here on earth. His Spiritual Gifts which He poured out to His body helps to equip us until we reach the fullness of Christ in us (Ephesians 4:11-13). He showed us the importance of FIND-ing the lost soul that Jesus might save them (Luke 19:10), which he revealed His purpose for each and everyone of us. That we have to be a disciple, to disciple, and to make disciples until we continuously duplicate Christ in our every disciple’s lives. Both the ministry and the purpose works in relation to each other that gifts shared within the ministries will be directed proportionally to the purposes given. And this is being achieved by the act of proclaiming the Word of God, which ...

Joy In Our Trials

James 1:2-4 2  Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3  for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4  And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. A wonderful evening to all, my fellow brethren and labourers in the vineyard of God. I am sharing you this passage from Apostle James, the brother of Jesus, to remind us that in the times of trials which may test our faith our spiritual attitude and character plays a great role to overcome it. One of the most vulnerable aspects of our lives when we are in the midst of difficult situations is our emotions. We may not know, but our emotional state can contribute to the decision made by our spiritual being. If we are not careful, the spirit of discernment may be lacking and it may lead us from sinning against God. That is why James wants us to count trial as joy, in other word, consider every troub...

Spiritual Gifts Are Free Gifts

Acts 8: 18-23 18  Now when Simon saw that the Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money,  19  saying, "Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit."  20  But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!  21  You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.  22  Repent, therefore, of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intent of your heart may be forgiven you.  23  For I see that you are in the gall of bitterness and in the bond of iniquity." All disciples of Jesus have given the power from God through the Holy Spirit. This is something Jesus had told us that He will send us an advocate or a helper and He will teach us with righteousness and will help us to remember everything that He taught us. T...

Pursue The Godly Passions

Jude 1:17-25 “17 But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. 18 They said to you, "In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions." 19 It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit.  20 But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. 22 And have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh. 24 Now to him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to present you blameless before the presence of his glory with great joy, 25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.” As we all ...
